Harry Truman and Charles De Gaulle in the Gulf of Oman

Harry Truman and Charles De Gaulle in the Gulf of Oman The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group and French Navy Task Force 473 have concluded five weeks of training in the Gulf of Oman, the North Arabian Sea and Arabian Gulf. Four Norfolk-based ships participated in the exercises, which began Dec. 26: aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto and guided-missle destroyers USS Bulkeley and USS Mason. The aim of the exercise -- other than perfecting how to work together -- was to provide reassurance to that region of the world that the two navies continue to stand watch harry_truman_charles_de_gaulleHarry Truman and Charles De Gaulle in the Gulf of Oman The Harry S.
